Hello readers, authors or publishers. Before you send me an e-mail at hitormissbooks (at) gmail (dot) com, please read the following.
Here are the genres that I do read: everything YA – fantasy, LGBT, dystopia, contemporary, romance, strampunk, paranormal, etc. ; middle grade – fairytale retellings and contemporary with LGBT themes; graphic novels and manga with all of the aformentioned genres; adult – m/m romance and fantasy; new adult – m/m romance, f/f romance, contemporary, fantasy, books set in college mostly.
I rarely, if ever, read horror, pure science-fiction (I prefer subgenres such as dystopia), poems, adult aside from m/m romance and fantasy and, finally, novels without at least and ounce of romance.
Furthermore, ****I sadly cannot accept requests for indie-published books.**** I rarely read them. As much as I want to support indie authors, I am far more interested in books found in bookstores, and since this blog is solely a hobby (as is reviewing and reading), I have to think about my own happiness first. 🙂
I receive requests every single day and almost never reply to them, since they are for books I specify I don’t read, so I hope you’ve read this before e-mailing me.
To help you determine if I might enjoy your novel or not, here are my top favorite novels or series: Captive Prince by C.S. Pacat, The Mortal Instruments + The Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare, The Gallagher Girls, anything by Courtney Summers, The Lunar Chronicles, Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe, etc.
What you can expect: a detailed review with both negative and positive comments about your book, summarizing the aspects I enjoyed and didn’t enjoy, under two weeks. It will be posted on this website, Goodreads and Amazon. You can expect my complete honesty. I’m never brutal, though.
Thank you for reading, I really appreciate it. I’m looking forward to reviewing your novel!
