Hello, Reader. I’m Lola, a 21-year-old Art History student at McGill. Thank you for visiting Hit or Miss Books, a blog I founded in July, 2014 – five years ago, oh my! Of course, in its early days, Hit or Miss Books looked nothing like it does today. A little makeover was much needed.
It has come a long way, and so have I. I didn’t use to be very confident about sharing my opinion on books, but I realized that an opinion is something subjective. You can’t please everyone with your words. People will always disagree, whatever you say. The only thing you can do is be honest and fair.
My mom used to love reading, so I got my ”Booklover” genes from her. The moment I fell in love with reading was when I was eleven and we moved close to a library. I was getting bored during that one summer in that new environment, friendless, so I decided to check it out. Boy. Best decision ever.
I also have a BookTube channel called Lola and the Books on which I discuss books I’m excited about if it catches your fancy. I plan on becoming a librarian or book editor/publicist. So many things I want to do, ugh!
Well thank you for reading this short novel, I hope to hear from you soon!
