Hello, reader. I’m Cristina Monica, but please call me Monica. I’m a Romanian Canadian 24-year-old student. I majored in Art History and am now completing a master’s in Information Studies to work as a librarian. When I’m not studying or reading, you can find me writing in my diary, volunteering or playing Kim Kardashian: Hollywood.
Thank you for visiting Hit or Miss Books, a blog I founded in July 2014 – 7 years ago, oh my! Sometimes I struggle to believe it’s been that long, but once in a while I stumble across an old review of mine and gasp at how much my writing style has evolved. I don’t use a star-based rating system anymore, though I’ll admit my mind still administers stars instinctively at times. I also try to balance positive and negative aspects of a book more than before. I DNF less than in the previous years. I’ve gotten to know what I like better but I’m also more patient than before. I cherish this blog and my reviews, not only because they’ve allowed me to express myself freely and connect with other fellow book lovers, but also because I have hidden a small piece of my heart in each of these reviews. I can easily picture myself at 50, still posting here. In other words, I don’t think I could ever let this place go. It is priceless to me.
I hope you find something you like on here. Happy perusing!
