REVIEW:
I was about to finish this book. Literally, I was at 88% and it would have taken me maximum 30 more minutes to finish it. But then the author made yet another slut-shaming comment and I thought, ‘‘That’s it. The way this arrogant guy talks about women is just disgusting and I’m done.’’ Reading this book was a stupid, stupid decision. And you know what, it’s really shitty and selfish to tell your wife-to-be that you’re almost done with grad school when you know it’s a lie and to focus on academia during your honeymoon.
I chose to read this book because I am starting a master’s in Information Studies to work as a librarian after I graduate and I’m very confident in my decision to pursue this master’s. I thought it would be hilarious to read a million warning messages about grad school because academia doesn’t scare me and I find it ridiculously funny how some people use exaggeration to produce a humorous effect. It’s the kind of thing that entertains me. And this author did manage to keep me hooked because his sarcasm is pretty developed but his ability to respect and understand women is not.

I’m sorry this book turned out to be such a dud, but good luck with your masters program! 😀
