This was FUN.

Everything about it promises fun—the cover, title, synopsis—but it’s one thing to expect something and another thing to be delivered that thing. Also, I read the author’s This Is Our Story, a YA mystery, so I couldn’t wait to see her deliver a feel-good Christmassy romance.

I read it in two sittings and, actually, I dare you to read it any slower. It will be hard because this is a fast-paced page-turner that is just the right amount of fun and sweet. Sophie and her boyfriend for a year are newly broken up and Sophie’s family has the great idea of filling up her Christmas agenda with ten blind dates. Some are wonderful… some not so much.

But this Christmas isn’t just about innocent fun with random dudes; it’s also about Sophie reconnecting with her family—her grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins and even childhood friends. She experiences a strange kind of break being away from her parents, her sister who is expecting a baby and her boyfriend to whom she thought she would lose her virginity this year. But maybe this is what she needs to reconnect with people who are dear to her… and with herself.

This was a delight from start to finish. Predictable for sure but I had a really good time following Sophie on her many dates.
