The illustrations are charming and atmospheric. It’s clear that the author cares about the environment, this not being the first Chirri & Chirra adventure outdoors. In this story, the animals are friendly and show the two girls exciting objects, sweets and experiences that are possible because of the season.
On the other hand, I really can’t believe the author thinks it’s okay to ride bicycles in the snow (if she does think that). It’s not even realistic since, well, wheels need solid, paved ground to work. At the same time, this is a picture book so I’ll let it slide.
The activities the girls take part in are original and surprising. Recommended.
