Ugh. Please go away.
Sarah Andersen, she gets you.
I adored this collection of slice-of-life moments and awkward situations in graphic novel format. I connected to almost everything Sarah said and Sarah herself.
It felt like she wrote/drew this book to let us know that we are not alone, that we are more similar than we think, while at the same time hoping her readers will understand HER.
And we do! I especially liked the fact that she was funny without being obscene or offensive. I’ve always thought that if you need to laugh about other people to have fun, you shouldn’t laugh at all, and Sarah seems to understand that well.
This is the perfect book to read on a rainy day, under your covers with your animal beside you, when you’re feeling under the weather. It will cheer you up right away! It won’t make you laugh until you die, but it will make you smile and chuckle.
And most importantly, it will remind you that it’s okay to be an introvert, and sure we’re odd sometimes, but we are basking in our oddness!
