This or That Book Tag ft. Captain Jack Sparrow!

Dear folks, I am here to do the THIS OR THAT book tag, created by Ayunda @ Tea and Paperbacks. It has come to my attention that the last time I did a tag, I was a minor. I am now doing a tag as an adult. Thank you for thinking of me, Shanayah @ The Scarlet Bookkeeper.

I shall apologize in advance for the bad humour that will follow. You see, I am currently watching the whole PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN series. Indeed, I am contaminated with Jack’s wicked humour!

Again, apologies. Let’s proceed to the tag now. There are some rules involved, but Captain Jack Sparrow takes no orders!

1. Reading on the couch or on the bed?

Aye, mate, ya know my answer! The bed it is! Quite comfy… And I is usually in good company! Aye, a book and a companion, is all I need! And RUM. Dare you not forget about that.

2. Male main character or female main character?

*wicked smile* You know I like them females. The more, the merrier! And some RUM! I

don’t mind some male from time to time, but I’m always gonna go back to Elizabeth.

3. Sweet snacks or salty snacks when reading?

RUM!!! I WANT RUM!!! … And you can always come to me with some chocolate – the sweetest you can find, mate. That’s an order from Captain Jack Sparrow.

4. Trilogies or quartets?

I knew it!! You want to kill Captain Jack Sparrow, too! *stares at the sky* I am infinite. Stories never die! And I am the best one there is!! I vote on eternity!

 

… But if you must, I’d like to die last, so let’s say quarters.

5. First-person point of view or third-person point of view?

I’m not gonna let anyone sail this ship but me. I am Captain Jack Sparrow! You said Barbossa? Who’s that?

I’m not gonna let anyone tell my story but me! Where’s the RUM?! There is never enough RUM. You there, go get me some, mate.

6. Reading at night or in the morning?

Captain Jack Sparrow doesn’t sleep. He sails all day and all night. The sea is mine, the stories shall be mine, too. I’m not gonna stop before I get everything, before the trident of Poseidon is mine!

7. Libraries or bookstores?

Tell me you foul, who do you think I am? I demand the biggest of ships! THE BLACK PEARL is mine! Oh, look, there’s a bird! … Jack, give me back my hat! Damn bird! *shoots dagger eyes at Barbossa*

8. Books that make you laugh or make you cry?

You know, mate, I’m not gonna turn down a challenge. *five minutes later* Gimme some RUM, you! It’s all settled, let’s have some fun.

9. Black book covers or white book covers?

Approach. Yes, come a little closer. Let me tell you something important.

*fiddles with fingernails* I assume white is elegant… just for you my dear Elizabeth.

10. Character-driven or plot-driven stories?

Stories are important, but it is us who make them. It is I who makes them. heuehehu *grins*

WOW. I don’t know what happened, guys. I just couldn’t help myself. It’s not even Captain Jack Sparrow’s voice. I couldn’t really imitate him, even if I wanted to. LOL. Anyway, those were really my thoughts though I sort of disguised them into metaphors. Hope they weren’t too hard to catch.

Thanks for the tag! I kind of hope you enjoyed reading this, but I understand if it didn’t make much sense to you! I just went with the flow (I’m really too addicted to PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN right now).
