The second storyline from the Eisner-award winning SEX CRIMINALS finds the honeymoon to be over for Jon and Suzie. Once the thrill of new lust fades, where do you go? Come along and laff and love with Matt and Chip as they brimp back ceaselessly against the past.
Collects SEX CRIMINALS # 6-10.
This second volume is way depressing. There’s so much unhappiness, so many problems. Drama is everywhere, and cruelty as well. The characters barely even smile. That’s too bad because their smiles are beautiful.
The story picks up right where it left of at the end of the first volume. That’s cool, but also a stark message that the characters are in deep, deep trouble with the Sex Police.
So-so plot, so-so atmosphere, great characterization, great graphics and (still) an interesting concept.
I still recommend picking it up, because it’s incredibly original and reads interestingly, but let’s say I’m not jubilating when thinking of picking the third book.
