Guess Post: Trisha Harrington’s first novel – M/M romance!

Jesse and Noah pictureHey everyone! My name is Trisha Harrington, and I’m here today to announce my first novel which I hope to release around April next year.

I just want to start off by thanking Lola for hosting me! It’s really great to be here.

I’ve been writing for a little over two years now. At first, I wrote on a site called Wattpad. I built up a fan base, I guess, and started getting into writing more than I ever had before. I suddenly found myself with all these stories in my head. I’d always had characters. But never actual stories that I could write. I had a great time the first few months. And that’s all it was in the beginning, fun. I didn’t really take my writing seriously. I was happy writing online and I made a lot of friends online. And I learned a lot from those friends as well as other writers who weren’t exactly friends.

After the first year, I started telling more people in my life about my writing. The more people I told, the more encouragement I got from people. Until the day someone asked me about publishing for real. I can honestly say, I initially dismissed the idea. It wasn’t something I saw myself doing. I told myself I wasn’t good enough and that I shouldn’t fool myself. But I gave in eventually and started writing a short story for an anthology.

The short story that I published a few months ago. And people liked it. My betas all loved it. And they all had some amazing feedback and praised it. So then I submitted it and I went back to writing my online stories. I prepared myself for the rejection email. I was expecting it. And then I got the email. Except it said they liked my story and wanted to publish my story in the anthology. I was blown away, so excited and nervous. More nervous than I had been waiting for the email to come. But I haven’t regretted it for a moment since. And that’s how I ended up becoming a published author.

Now for the reason we’re all here… The title and the blurb!

Title: The Secrets of Jesse & Noah

Add book on Goodreads
Blurb:
Jesse
He thinks he knows me, the real me.
The person hidden beneath the skin.
But he’s wrong.
I’ve kept secrets and told lies, all so I can protect him.
He’s my best friend, my protector, my everything.
I can’t tell him my darkest secrets, they would ruin him like they’re ruining me.
My secrets are killing me, slowly, painfully.
But they’re my secrets to keep. My secrets to hide.
He says he wants to know the truth.
But the truth would destroy us both.

Noah
I know his secrets, most of them anyway.
But there are things he doesn’t want me to know.
Secrets he keeps from me.
He doesn’t think I can handle the truth. But he’s wrong, I can do anything for him.
We’ve been best friends since the day we met.
And I’ve loved him every day since.
He’s told me things, things about himself no one else knows.
But he doesn’t fully trust me.
I want him to trust me.
I could handle all of his pain, if he’d just let me.

Me!!Trisha Harrington is an Irish girl with a love of all things books and music. She also loves the many Disney characters, Winnie the Pooh especially, although she couldn’t really pick her favorite character. She would like to see Winnie the Pooh living very happily in the Hundred Acre Wood with Eeyore, who wouldn’t be depressed anymore.
Trisha discovered m/m romance at the tender age of fifteen. While her stories tend to be dark and she puts her characters through a lot, she also believes in a HEA for her boys.
She usually creates a playlist and listens to music while she writes, ranging throughout the musical spectrum, although she prefers Rock, Indie Folk, and Pop. She finds it helps her set a mood for whatever she’s working on.
She’s a very chatty person and loves talking to people. Feel free to contact her on Twitter, Facebook, or Goodreads.

She also manages her own blog!

Thank you for this guest post, Trisha! I hope to read this wonderful novel when it will be released!
